FCC Construcción has carried out the civil engineering of this project. Its complexity lies in its sheer magnitude. It involves building 2,438 linear metres of concrete dock, built by manufacturing and anchoring 47 reinforced concrete floating caissons, and a 600 metre long breakwater jetty.

The enormous caissons range in length from 45.1 and 66.85 metres, with a width of 24 metres and heights between 18 and 29 metres.  Their weight varies between 8,800 and 16,800 tonnes.
