FCC appears in the 22nd edition of Forbes' annual Global 2000 ranking, a list that ranks the world's largest companies, using four indicators: sales, profits, assets and market value. Together, the companies that appeared on the 2023 list accounted for $51.7 trillion in sales, $4.5 trillion in profits, $238 trillion in assets and $88 trillion in market value, representing 61 different countries.

The ranking is led by JPMorgan Chase, with a market capitalisation of $550 billion and $4 trillion in assets, topping the list for the second year in a row, with Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway in second place. The two giants are among the 621 US companies and 22 Spanish companies on the list.

New to the list is chipmaker Nvidia, with a market capitalisation of $3 trillion, which is ranked 110th, and San Jose-based Super Micro Computer, a specialist in data centre servers, which is ranked 856th. Meanwhile, vaccine manufacturers Pfizer and Moderna are among the companies to drop down the rankings in the post-Covid era.

Among the Spanish companies, FCC occupies the fourth leading position in the ranking. ACS is ranked 715th, Ferrovial 1,010th, Acciona 1,118th and FCC 1,576th.
