The project to widen sections 5-6 of the A465 dual carriageway, which FCC Construcción is building in Wales, United Kingdom, has received a visit from the Welsh Government's Transport Secretary. He was able to check the progress of the project accompanied by the Project Director, Ignacio Poyales, and the Construction Director, Mike Cummine.

During the visit, he was able to see the progress of the Taf Fawr Viaduct, which has been constructed 30 metres above the river, as well as the Wind Farm Bridge where he met with the main local sub-contractors on the project: Ed Jones of GT Jones Contracting Ltd, Tony Gibbons of Atlas Groundworks and Tim Wroblewski of TACP Environmental.

The project, developed under a PPP model, consists of the widening of the A465 dual carriageway on sections 5 and 6, which have a length of 17.3 kilometres and are located between the towns of Dowlais Top, Merthyr Tydfil and Hirwaun. At present, these sections of the dual carriageway have a single carriageway and heavy traffic.

The project that FCC Construcciñon is carrying out in Wales is important for improving mobility and connectivity in Wales, as well as for reactivating the local economy.
