Ramalho Rosa Cobetar (RRC) participates in the inauguration of the rail link of the Beira Baixa line between Covilhã and Guarda.

RRC participated in the opening ceremony for the railway line of the Beira Baixa Line between Covilhã and Guarda. The section, built by RRC, was inaugurated by the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Pedro Nuno Santos, the Minister for Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Jorge Delgado, the President of the Intermunicipal Community of Beiras and Serra da Estrela, Luís Marques, the Mayor of Covilhã, Vítor Pereira, the Mayor of Guarda, Carlos Monteiro, the President of CP - Comboios de Portugal, Nuno Freitas and the President of the Board of Directors of Infrastructures of Portugal, António Laranjo.

The 46 kilometer contract involved the modernization and electrification of the railroad, including the rehabilitation of the Guarda, Belmonte, Caria, Maçainhas, Benespera and Sabugal stations and the renovation of several metal bridges and viaducts, and marks the reinstatement of the rail link between these two important cities in the Beiras and Serra da Estrela regions, which was interrupted for about 12 years.
