The work awarded to Ramalho Rosa Cobetar, S.A. (RRC), representative in Portugal of FCC Construcción, by Brisa - Concessão Rodoviária, S.A., represents an investment of 13.4 million euros, with a term of execution of 28 months.

The present contract consists in the extension of the platform of the A4 motorway, in the accesses to the tunnel of Águas Santas (also works awarded to RRC), from 2x2 to 2x4 ways. It also includes the remodeling of the Service Area of Águas Santas, the reinforcement of the existing pavement and the rehabilitation of the two actual tunnels of Águas Santas. The current upper and lower passages will be reinstated or reformulated, and new ones will be built.

The project originates from km8+434.7 (node between A4 and A3) and ends at km11+194.8 (to the west of the Ermesinde toll plaza), totaling an extension of 2760km.

In this project, RRC is part of a consortium with two other national construction companies.
