ECOFIN Brand of Spain Awards 2023

The awards have been decided by an independent jury made up of thirty managers from associations, universities and businesses under the presidency of María Luisa Martínez Gistau, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at CaixaBank, who have highlighted the international presence of these three brands and the dissemination of the positive values associated with your country brand.

In the case of FCC, the Jury has valued “a brand with more than 120 years of experience that certifies the value of Spanish talent in leading international projects on the five continents.” Since the late 1970s, the company has been signing some of the most important international projects in the countries in which it operates, to the point that more than 44% of its income comes from its international operations. Projects in which it improves the quality of life of the local communities in which it carries out its activity.

In the case of Mahou San Miguel, the ECOFIN Jury has valued “the international projection of the San Miguel and Mahou beer brands as main references throughout the world, which completes in the restaurant sector the prestige of other leading drinks in Spain, such as the wine". Likewise, he has highlighted the company's trajectory of innovation in recent years and its ability to launch new brands and products that contribute to developing the beer category and add value to the entire sector.

For its part, the Jury has decided to award Starlite Occident, the best boutique festival in the World which, after eleven editions, has established itself as the longest festival, with more than 60 days of concerts. Starlite Occident has put the brand of Costa del Sol, Malaga and Spain on the international scene of music and major international events, contributing to the work of the Malaga City Council as a world-class cultural capital.
