Opening of the FCC-built section of the CV-10 between Pobla Tornesa and Cabanes
The section will form part of the future A-7

President Francisco Camps of Valencia, accompanied by President Carlos Fabra of the Castellón Council and other senior authorities, cut the ribbon on the new section of the CV-10 on the 21st last.
This section of road, which was built by FCC, is eight kilometres long. It runs between the towns of Pobla Tornesa and Cabanes, and it has four junctions. It cost a total of close to 50 million euro.
During works execution a number of different environmental measures were taken. Thirteen thousand trees and 36,000 bushes were planted, and a hundred olive trees and 67 holm oaks were transplanted. In addition, an eight-kilometre-long hedge was planted, and forty animal crossings were built.
Another major environmental initiative included in the project was the expropriation of 35,000 square metres of land to make the El Arenal wetlands, home to many amphibians.
When this road is finished, it will siphon off part of the traffic that currently uses roads N-340 and AP-7, which hug the coast of Castellón.
