FCC Construcción takes part in the Corresponsables Madrid 2025 Conference: ‘Learnings and challenges for leading Sustainability’

FCC Construcción took part in the Co-Responsible Conference for the presentation of the 20th Co-Responsible Yearbook in Madrid. Specifically, the panel in which FCC Construcción participated focused on the current lessons learned and challenges for companies to lead in sustainability, taking into account the complex global and regulatory context. Antonio Burgueño, Director of Sustainability and Innovation at FCC Construcción, said that ‘at this moment in time, when it seems that a recession may be looming after an explosion of sustainable initiatives, FCC Construcción feels that it is at a point where everything must remain the same and we must seize the momentum necessary to continue the 125 years of history that we have. Sustainability is a balance between the social, economic and governance aspects, we must not forget that’.

Antonio Burgueño also reaffirmed that ‘we want a society that lives better and better in every sense. 125 years speaks of an unavoidable continuity and affirms that we are a company with a sustainable vision, which is maintained over time in a balanced way respecting the environment and people. There were situations that demanded a response from the company, which we did voluntarily because in the past there was no commitment to sustainability.

The Co-Responsible Conference has brought together more than 30 representatives from all interest groups. The Co-Responsible Conference, held in Madrid under the title ‘20 years of the Co-Responsible Yearbook: Lessons and challenges for leading Sustainability’, has attracted more than 390,000 people.
