The PALLAS project, an international project
FCC Construcción has been contracted for construction of the PALLAS-reactor and the surrounding buildings of the PALLAS project. The company, together with NRG PALLAS and ICHOS continues to make progress in preparations for the start of construction.
At present, workers of more than 10 nationalities are involved in this project (Dutch, Spanish, Argentinian, Turkish, Indian, Sri Lankan, Filipino, Romanian, British, Italian...) on behalf of FCC Construcción. In total, more than 25 different nationalities will develop the PALLAS project, giving it an international character.
The PALLAS-reactor is important for many patients being diagnosed and treated with life-threatening diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. These patients depend on the medical isotopes produced in the High Flux Reactor in Petten. With the construction of the new reactor, it will be possible to continue helping patients for a long time to come. The PALLAS-reactor will also contribute to research into a CO2-free energy supply.
