Description of the Environmental Measure

Problem detected:

During the construction of the Riyadh Metro in Saudi Arabia actions were implemented to minimise the disruption caused in nearby areas.

Solutions adopted:

The solutions were established in fixed site entrances and exits, regularly checking the efficiency of the environmental-control system, and preventing waste from accumulating on the site. Environmental impact assessment has also been undertaken to delimit the issues caused on the site.

Results:

This limited area has controlled equipment emitting fumes and noise levels, with a view to protecting people’s health and minimising the impact on local properties.
