NEW 4.0 TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION IN BUILDING SECTOR: CENTRALIZED AND LINKED PROCESS FOR FACADE SYSTEMS

Objective

Definition and development of an advanced technological system for setting a collaborative and centralized process in modular building facade works. The system must lead to productivity maximization, construction time reduction and lowering of sector accident rate, by , based on digital technologies linked to Digital Twins technological architecture, as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms.

  • Monitoring ecosystem solution. The process will manage IoT hardware and software, always oriented to the facade assembly system optimization. To that end, a full data ontology will be required, also in order to allow a standardized understanding of all digital agents inside the project.
  • Indoor setting at the work site. The system will provide several warnings according to the risk approaching guidelines. This goal will be achieved by ensuring staff, material and equipment localizations into the work site.
  • Patterns and surveillance identification algorithms. All inefficiencies and defects over the construction will be inventoried, but also risk detection patterns of the main activities.
  • BIM Methodology Digital Twin. This goal concerns the BIM model link to all real time data provided by the monitoring ecosystem, establishing in that way the current true status of the facade construction and also processing data by Machine Learning algorithms. It gives cause for a Digital Twin of the building at the construction stage towards the following O&M stage.
  • Technological interactions. That system digitalization based in algorithms must be focused to a Digital Twin platform over the aim of improving both material management productivity and assembly task, developing to that end a full indoor-outdoor position system into the work site.
