The works includes extending the North West dock esplanade at the Port de Palma, one of the Mediterranean’s benchmark ports.

The increase in cruise ship traffic in the Port of Palma has led to the Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) to undertake an extension of the current Western Pier to enable vessels of greater length to berth. The most significant works involved are the building of a vertical pier made of reinforced concrete caissons, a new esplanade measuring 36,232 square metres, and utility circuits on both the esplanade and pier.

This project will enable the Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) to improve efficiency, safety and quality of port operations in that area, as it will provide more clearly separated areas for vehicles and passengers.
