FCC Construcción debuts in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

FCC Construcción has reached a significant milestone by making its debut in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a globally recognized environmental information reporting standard known for its transparency and rigor. Currently, companies representing two-thirds of global market capitalization disclose critical environmental data through this initiative.
For years, FCC Construcción has participated in this initiative by reporting its information integrated within the FCC Group's parent company, rather than individually. This year, however, it has decided to report separately, marking a further step in its accountability, transparency, and commitment to sustainability.
In its first reporting exercise, FCC Construcción has achieved the Management Category (B), showcasing its solid governance in managing the fight against climate change. This achievement is further reinforced by obtaining the highest score in the Emission Reduction Initiatives category, as well as in other categories that measure the organisation's efforts to assess, address, and disclose its risks, opportunities, and impacts related to climate change, along with the involvement of its value chain in the process.
This recognition further demonstrates the successful integration of FCC Construcción's Sustainability and Climate Change Strategies within the organisation. All the aforementioned categories are included in its ambitious short, medium, and long-term objectives, with the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
As a result, this report on climate change information in the CDP has been a very valuable initiative for the company. It has allowed FCC Construcción to identify where to direct its efforts to continue improving in this area and reaffirm its commitment to remain a benchmark in sustainability and the fight against climate change.
